Stephen Shaw's in-house experience and technical skills help guide his approach to advising clients on intellectual property matters. Based out of San Francisco, Stephen has more than 15 years of experience in intellectual property law, representing clients ranging from established Fortune 50 corporations to emerging start-ups. As a former in-house patent attorney, Stephen understands his clients' needs, and proposes innovative and efficient solutions to the issues faced by businesses in today's IP landscape.

Prior to that, Stephen handled all IP matters as an in-house attorney for Gracenote, and also worked as an in-house patent attorney for Qualcomm and Adobe. Prior to moving to California in 2005, Stephen was an associate at a large South Carolina law firm, where he concentrated on patent and trademark litigation, as well as computer law issues and patent preparation and prosecution.
