Stefan Schröder's practice focuses on legal issues in the energy sector. He specialises in regulatory law and also advises clients on energy trading law and regarding renewable energies. He represents clients in court proceedings and arbitration. Moreover, he has been involved in M&A-transactions and international projects in the energy sector.

Stefan has successfully represented clients in complaint proceedings against fundamental regulations of the German Federal Network Agency as well as in abusive practices proceedings. Moreover, he represented clients in appeal proceedings before the German Federal Court of Justice.

He advises clients in the context of the negotiation and conclusion of trading und supply contracts and has supported clients in numerous price revision proceedings; including the representation of clients in related court proceedings and arbitration.

Before joining Hogan Lovells, he worked for another international law firm, for one of Germany’s leading energy law firms, as a research assistant at the Institute for Energy Law (University of Cologne) and as a trainee lawyer at the German Federal Network Agency.
