Stefan Giesen advises on all aspects of German and EU competition law. He has extensive experience in the automotive-, mobile telecommunications-, chemical- and food industry. Inter alia, Stefan regularly advises on merger proceedings, cartel cases, competition-law aspects in civil litigation and arbitration and supply contracts. 

Stefan joined Hogan Lovells as an associate in 2011. Before, he was a trainee solicitor, including periods at the First Cartel Senate at the Higher Regional Court of Dusseldorf, with his current team at Hogan Lovells and at the German Consulate General in Shanghai. After his studies, Stefan has worked for two and a half years as a research associate in the top-tier competition-law team of another well-known law firm. 

He received his Ph.D. in international law from the University of Dusseldorf. Stefan is a member of Studienvereinigung Kartellrecht.
