Silvia is an Associate in our IPMT practice in the Madrid office with extensive experience in IP litigation, particularly in the field of patents, trademarks, copyright and unfair competition. Silvia’s clients include major multinational companies with a particular focus on clients within the following industry sectors: technology, telecommunications and life sciences.

She is known to clients for her dedication, hard work and thorough study of legal issues arising in the cases she works on.

Silvia has recently worked on a pro bono project with the Legal Clinic of IE Law School, where she advised an association for development cooperation in indigenous communities in South America on trade secrets and copyright issues involving their activities.

Prior to joining Hogan Lovells, Silvia worked as an intern for a leading international law firm, where she regularly advised national and international clients on transfer pricing and tax issues.

Representing a leading technology company in patent infringement proceedings brought by a competitor before the Barcelona courts.

Representing a leading pharmaceutical company specialising in allergy solutions in protective actions before the Barcelona courts against potential preliminary injunctions proceedings launched by a competitor.

Representing a leading international industrial services provider in patent infringement proceedings launched by a competitor before the Bilbao courts.

Representing one of the world’s major designers and manufacturers of infant products in a patent infringement dispute against a competitor and its distributor.

Advising and representing a multinational smartphones manufacturer in patent litigation proceedings launched by an NPE, including preliminary injunction proceedings, as well as in protective actions before the Barcelona courts during the Mobile World Congress.

Representing a leading telecommunications operator in one of the biggest patent disputes in Spain, which also involves copyright infringement and unfair competition claims.
