Chelsea Shrader

Chelsea Shrader relies on her strong background in business and finance to advise clients on a broad range of corporate matters, including corporate governance, mergers and acquisitions, and private equity transactions.

Chelsea's career began before law school, when she worked as a financial advisor, focusing on private wealth management and financial planning. She also worked as a legal assistant in the corporate group of another international law firm in Washington, D.C. before pursuing her J.D.

While in law school, Chelsea worked as a law clerk in the legal department of a Fortune 500 company's corporate headquarters. Her background gives her a unique perspective on issues related to corporate and strategic transactions, compliance with securities laws, and corporate governance.

Chelsea earned a J.D., summa cum laude, from the University of Richmond School of Law, where she was inducted into the Order of the Coif and the McNeill Law Society. She served as an articles and comments editor on the University of Richmond Law Review and won the school's in-house Client Counseling and Negotiation competition. Her student comment, "Uniform Rules: Addressing the Disparate Rules that Deny Student-Athletes the Opportunity to Participate in Sports According to Gender Identity," was published in the University of Richmond Law Review. Chelsea earned dual-degrees from the University of Richmond in mathematics and leadership studies with a minor in law.
