As a knowledge lawyer, Katherine Sheriff brings to the Automotive and Mobility industry sector group a unique ability to approach and analyze future mobility issues from a variety of perspectives. From testimony on autonomous vehicle policy before state legislators to annual presentations and panels at international conferences, Katherine's experience spans various aspects of emerging technology policy and law across multiple jurisdictions.

A critical thinker, Katherine uses her focused legal analysis and horizon-spotting skills to generate insightful thought leadership. She regularly monitors automotive industry developments and mobility innovations to help proactively advise clients on new rules and best practices.

Katherine began her thought leadership career before law school as an international speaker on legal and policy considerations for emerging technologies. Her thought leadership and research publications span issues ranging from professional negligence considerations for autonomous vehicle manufacturers to surgical robot patents, from relationships between robotic responsibility and manufacturer liability to insurance issues in a new mobility era. Since beginning her legal career, Katherine has worked in private practice on a variety of product liability and insurance litigation issues related to liability coverage and regulatory compliance.

Katherine graduated from the Emory University School of Law, where she was a student clerk for the Supreme Court of Georgia. During law school, Katherine served as Online Editor for the Emory Law Journal and was one of three students selected for the Emory Law Autonomous Technology Legal Research Project, which completed a 50-state survey on legal issues relating to AV technology.

In addition to her legal practice, Katherine is committed to pro bono opportunities centered on women's health and wellbeing. As a Registered Yoga Teacher, Katherine provides community classes to support local philanthropies.
