Shengzhe Wang focuses her practice on debt capital markets. She also heads up our EMEA China-related business. Shengzhe has 15 years' experience in advising German, Chinese and international clients in banking, asset-backed securitisation structured finance and M&A transactions.

Shengzhe is often asked to comment on recent market and practice trends in China by publications such as Bloomberg, FinanceAsia, GlobalCapital Asia and GlobalRMB. She speaks frequently on financial trends and regularly provides insight on regulatory changes in China. Recently, she was invited to speak at a round table discussion focusing on Chinese investment into Latin America held by Legal 500. In July 2018, Shengzhe presented on U.S. regulatory issues impacting IPOs and bond offerings at the PRC Companies Dual Listing Forum organized by Chance Bridge Partners Law Firm and The Research Center of Civil and Commercial Jurisprudence of Renmin University. In addition, she talked about outbound bonds issuance at the Global Capital Market and Outbound Investment Conference co-organized by Hogan Lovells and the Sino-Global Legal Alliance ("SGLA") in June 2017. She also jointly hosted a Belt and Road panel discussion in Beijing, organized by the SGLA late 2017.

Prior to joining Hogan Lovells, Shengzhe worked for an international law firm in the Banking & Finance and Corporate M&A Group for eight years and two years as in-house counsel at UniCredit Bank AG. Shengzhe was admitted to the Chinese bar (attorney) in China in 1998 and as a solicitor in England and Wales in 2010. She graduated from the Johann-Wolfgang-Goethe University in 2004. She also studied at several prestigious universities in China. Shengzhe speaks Mandarin, English and German.

Advising Daimler AG, Volkswagen Bank GmbH and Volkswagen Leasing GmbH, BMW Leasing/ Bank GmbH on German, Chinese and international ABS transactions.

Advising UniCredit Bank AG on Arabella Conduit Restructuring and several Arabella Conduit Transactions.

Advising VW/BMW on China ABS transactions.

Advising a China Textile company on the acquisition of automotive supplier which is one of the largest China outbound acquisition in Germany.
