Sean S. Mahsoul
Sean Mahsoul represents publicly and privately held companies on a wide variety of corporate and business matters, including mergers and acquisitions, private equity transactions, securities, and venture capital investments. Sean also advises start-up companies throughout their lifecycle, from formation to IPO and beyond.
During law school, Sean worked in the Startup Legal Garage clinic, where he advised early-stage companies on corporate and intellectual property matters. He gained practical experience taking on the legal and business obstacles faced by early-stage companies.
As a certified privacy professional, Sean also understands the importance of data privacy in today's business environment. His background in corporate law, intellectual property, and privacy makes him an effective advisor, taking a holistic approach to advising his clients.
Prior to joining Hogan Lovells, Sean worked as a judicial extern to the Honorable Neil W. Bason of the United States Bankruptcy Court, where he developed his research and advocacy skills within a business context. While in law school, Sean served as the executive managing editor of the Hastings Science & Technology Law Journal, submissions editor on the Hastings Business Law Journal, and president of the Iranian Law Students Association. Upon graduation, Sean was inducted into the Pro Bono Society, primarily for his work assisting clients at the San Francisco Bar Association's Legal Advice and Referral Clinic.
