Dr. Michael Schröpfer

Michael Schröpfer advises clients on M&A transactions and core corporate matters. He has gained experience in both national and cross border transactions in different sectors such as real estate (hotels and office properties) and life sciences (health care). Michael also focuses on venture capital transactions helping founders, investors and family offices to achieve their entrepreneurial goals.

Michael  received his Ph.D. in law with a thesis on compliance and German stock corporations. Before joining Hogan Lovells, Michael worked, inter alia, in the corporate/M&A practice group of an international U.S. based law firm and for a London based law firm.

Advising Portigon (formerly WestLB) on the sale of a high-profile real estate portfolio to Blackstone.

Advising Betreibergesellschaft der Galopp-Rennvereine in the context of a participation of Pari Mutuel Urbain in German Tote Service- und Beteiligungsgesellschaft mbH.

Advising a French company on the acquisition of a German health care company.

Advising a Swedish company on the acquisition of a German developer and manufacturer of ventilation systems.

Advising Berenberg, Kempen & Co and Bankhaus Lampe in the context of a capital increase (€100m) of HAMBORNER REIT AG.

Advising Millicom International Cellular in the context of financing rounds (€300m) regarding Africa Internet Group.*
