Sarah Brown

As a senior associate in the London real estate group, having trained with the firm and qualified in March 2007, Sarah has a wide practice encompassing property finance, business restructuring and insolvency, development and occupational matters. The principal clients for whom Sarah acts are Shaftesbury, KCCLP, Hermes Real Estate, Ford, NAMA and the John Lewis Partnership. Sarah has particular experience in acting in the real estate aspects of financing transactions and advising on insolvency-related issues.

Sarah completed a 7-month secondment at The Royal Bank of Scotland plc in 2009, dealing with property-backed insolvencies and has extensive experience of working with banks, administrators and receivers. She also advised NAMA in relation to its acquisition of property-backed debt from Irish banks and its subsequent disposal of a number of high-value assets. Sarah regularly acts for Hermes Real Estate and Shaftesbury Plc in relation to investment acquisitions and disposals and strategic lettings.

On the occupational side, Sarah advises Waitrose in relation to new store acquisitions and completed a 6-month secondment with The John Lewis Partnership during her training. She also advises a major cinema chain in relation to pre-lettings and leases at key retail and leisure sites across the UK, including lettings at the O2 and Wembley. Sarah advises KCCLP on various aspects of its £2bn King's Cross Central redevelopment, including initial site delivery, title and asset protection issues and has acted on a number of anchor lettings at the site.
