Ryan Russell's diverse practice covers all aspects of cross-border investments, with a particular focus on project development and finance.

Ryan has represented project developers, financial institutions and multi-national companies in connection with project development and financings, acquisition financings, syndicated senior loans, asset-based and cash-flow financings, second lien and mezzanine loans, recapitalizations, disputes arising from project financings, private offerings and out-of-court restructurings. Ryan practiced at a global law firm in New York and at Korea's largest law firm in Seoul prior to joining Hogan Lovells.

Ryan is a member of the bar in the State of New York and the District of Columbia. He received his J.D. from Columbia Law School while also studying Korean studies at Columbia's School of International and Public Affairs, and his B.A. from Brigham Young University where he studied political science and Korean. Ryan also completed Ph.D. coursework at Seoul National University's College of Law and lectured on U.S. legal topics at Korea's Judicial Research and Training Institute.

Ryan is fluent in Korean.
