Alejandro Ruiz

Dual-qualified in Mexico and Texas, Alejandro Ruiz advises clients on domestic and international matters, including formation of business entities and corporate restructuring.

Alejandro deploys a strategic approach to solving complex transactional problems, offering clients creative solutions to their most pressing legal needs particularly in the oil, gas, and petrochemicals industries. He has experience working with upstream and midstream developers, petrochemical companies, and contractors on the acquisition, development, and disposal of projects in the upstream, midstream, and downstream sectors.

Prior to joining Hogan Lovells, Alejandro was a senior associate at a firm in Monterrey assisting clients with corporate and litigation matters. While in law school, he was elected vice president of the Duke Bar Association and was actively involved in the Hispanic Law Society. Additionally, he served as a clerk at the Tax and Administrative Federal Court in Monterrey and completed a fellowship at Femsa-Cerveceria Cuauhtemoc Moctezuma S.A. DE C.V. (Heineken).
