Sarah Ruckriegle counsels clients on complex civil litigation, investigations, and regulatory challenges. With a distinctive and unique professional background, Sarah is well positioned to understand her clients' needs and advocate for them in diverse environments.

Sarah graduated from Georgetown University Law Center, where she worked as a student attorney in the Environmental Law Clinic. Alongside co-counsel, Sarah represented clients in a wide variety of large-scale projects raising novel legal issues with extensive factual records. Sarah also served as the Editor-in-Chief for the Georgetown Environmental Law Review.

With a passion for human rights, Sarah worked as a Teaching Fellow on International Human Rights and Effective Advocacy at Georgetown and served as an Observer for the Guantanamo Bay Military Commissions Program with the Human Rights Institute.

Sarah maintains a robust pro bono practice at Hogan Lovells. She has handled individual representation cases and worked on civil rights litigation, criminal sentence reform cases, veteran disability cases, appellate amicus curiae briefs, and environmental cases.

Prior to joining Hogan Lovells, Sarah served as a judicial law clerk in the District of Nevada. Before law school, Sarah served eight years in the Air Force and Air Force Reserves, including deploying to the Middle East. A Colorado native, Sarah also skied competitively internationally before college.
