Robert Wolinsky masters the facts and technical details of every case so that he can present clear and convincing arguments to arbitrators, judges, and juries in the U.S. and internationally.

He has significant first-chair litigation experience; in the last two years, he has represented clients in a three-week jury trial in federal court and in two separate three-week international arbitration proceedings administered by the ICC. His work in the energy sector has been independently recognized by Law360's list of the five "energy lawyers under 40 to watch."

Robert represents companies in disputes involving a wide range of legal issues, including complex business disputes; engineering and construction disputes; false advertising and unfair competition claims; antitrust and consumer protection claims; patent, trademark, and copyright claims; and other statutory issues. His experience covers a wide range of industries with a focus on domestic and international clients in the energy and natural resources industry.

Representative experience

Represented owner of floating production storage and offloading (FPSO) units in two ICC arbitrations involving disputes over engineering, procurement, and construction of FPSOs.

Representing contractor in ICC arbitration relating to construction of gas fired power plant in Chile.

Represented contractor in AAA arbitration arising from the construction of a coal-fired power generation facility in Maidsville, West Virginia.

Represented owner of nuclear power plant in dispute with EPC contractor relating to delays and cost overruns in decommissioning.

Represented operator of natural gas fractionation plant in connection with disputes relating to explosion occurring shortly after plant start-up.

Representing owner of second generation cellulosic bioethanol plant and technology in dispute with equipment supplier.

Representing owner of natural gas pipeline in dispute with end users over the terms of long-term contracts for transportation.

Obtained favorable award for leading aerospace manufacturer in dispute with leading defense contractor regarding sale of guidance technology.

Obtained multimillion-dollar jury verdict for raw material supplier in contract dispute with leading manufacturer of medical imaging technology.

Represented a Brazilian chemical manufacturing company in contract dispute over the sale of chemical manufacturing business under New York law.

Defending the California Independent System Operator against the Imperial Irrigation District's antitrust and state law claims.

Obtained dismissal of complaint by customer for breach of contract and unfair competition against German supplier of raw materials for solar panels.
