Thomas Richter advises national and international clients on various aspects of trademark and unfair competition law. He primarily supports brand owners in the enforcement of their rights in court proceedings, before trademark offices and through customs actions. With his background in international law, he also advises on complex disputes involving several jurisdictions. His practice reaches from fighting knock-off products for clients in the consumer goods sector to assisting software companies in taking down infringing online content and recovering domain names.

Thomas studied law at the Bucerius Law School in Hamburg and at the Boston University School of Law, where he obtained a Master of Laws (LL.M.) with focus on intellectual property. While writing his PhD thesis on international intellectual property law, he worked as research and teaching assistant at Bucerius Law School. During his legal clerkship, Thomas worked at different international law firms in Hamburg and at a trademark chamber of the Hamburg District Court.
