Rebecca Cifelli

Rebecca is a senior associate in our Infrastructure, Energy, Resources and Projects Group based in Perth. She joined Hogan Lovells in our London office in 2010 before returning to Australia and joining our Australian operations in 2015.  

Rebecca has extensive experience working with energy and resources clients on a broad range of transactions. She concentrates on international construction projects, including in respect of procurement routes, risk allocation, drafting and negotiation of contract documentation and operational issues. Rebecca also has experience advising on share and asset sales/acquisitions, joint ventures, farm ins and general corporate matters. 

Representative experience

*Acting for Beadell Resources on a mining services contract for their Tucano Gold Project in Brazil.

Drafting a suite of model procurement contracts for Rio Tinto to use on their international projects.

*Advising Sumatra Copper Gold on an agreement for the supply of power to their Tembang Project.

Advising Mitsubishi Heavy Industries on a bid to develop a nuclear power facility.

Working with the construction industry standard forms of contract (e.g. FIDIC, Australian Standards) and support documents (e.g. bonds and collateral warranties).

*Matter handled prior to joining Hogan Lovells.
