U.S. Supreme Court Endorses EPA's Authority to Regulate Stationary Source Emissions of Greenhouse Gases Under the Clean Air Act

On June 23, 2014, the U.S. Supreme Court issued an opinion in Utility Air Regulatory Group v. EPA that in large part affirmed the EPA's authority to regulate stationary source emissions of greenhouse gases under the Clean Air Act, while issuing a few warning signals for the EPA's ongoing efforts to promulgate regulations addressing GHG emissions from new and existing power plants.
