UK Supreme Court confirms that legal advice privilege does not apply to accountants

The UK Supreme Court in Prudential PLC and Anors v Special Commissioner of Income Tax and Anors confirmed that legal advice privilege remains restricted to legal advice of lawyers only. Advice on the law provided by a non-lawyer, in this case an accountant, does not qualify for legal advice privilege.
