UK begins research on law reform for use of smart contracts

The Law Commission of England and Wales has detailed upcoming projects and recommendations for reform in the UK, including a scoping study to review the current English legal framework as it applies to smart contracts.

In in its annual report, the Commission, whose role it is to review existing laws and suggest amendments, has announced that it is starting an initial research project this summer to bring clarity to the use of smart contracts.
