The so-called inefficiency of the French legal system: Myth or reality in civil and commercial matters

Subject to numerous reforms these last years, the French legal system is often presented as inefficient and slow. Despite the recurring reiteration of this observation, it is interesting to compare it with the few statistics available to date relating to the activity of civil and commercial courts. The reality appears to be nuanced.
