NLRB notice posting requirement upheld by federal court

On March 2, 2012, a federal court in the District of Columbia upheld in part and struck down in part the controversial notice posting rule promulgated by the National Labor Relations Board (NLRB) in August 2011. The court’s ruling will require almost all employers to post in the workplace a notice of employee rights under the National Labor Relations Act (NLRA), but will eliminate some of the penalties that employers who violate the rule would have faced under the original language.
