Newsflash: Jackson Proposals to Become a Reality

On 29 March 2011, the Ministry of Justice issued its response to the consultation paper on the Jackson reforms. After considering the responses to the consultation, the government intends to abolish the recoverability of Conditional Fee Arrangements ("CFAs") and after the event ("ATE") insurance premiums and to implement many of Lord Justice Jackson's other proposals in a package of measures designed to shake-up litigation funding in England and Wales.
