Hogan Lovells Africa Newsletter: Issue 1

June 2012

Welcome to the first edition of the Hogan Lovells Africa Newsletter.  Our quarterly newsletters aim to bring you relevant news and up to date important legal and other key issues that affect you and your business.

In this edition we provide you with an update on the status of the "New Libya", a summary of the most important changes brought by the new Angola Investment Act, and an article detailing how common law concepts are progressively penetrating civil legal systems in Africa and our view as to why this is the case.

The Hogan Lovells Africa team has an established presence in Africa, and we detail below some of our recent deals from across the continent, including our continuing involvement on a Pro Bono basis with the Ministry of Health and Social Welfare of Liberia.
