HL Tech and Tel: Steering the Course III

In the 10th episode of our HL Tech and Tel series, host Mark Brennan connects with Stephanie Yonekura and Shelita Stewart from our Los Angeles and Washington, D.C. offices to discuss how Anti-Bribery and Corruption (AB&C) and ESG risk management impacts the technology and telecommunications sector.

Stephanie and Shelita helped spearhead our recently launched report, “Steering the Course III: Navigating deep waters,” where we surveyed 600 in-house compliance professionals across industry sectors and jurisdictions.

“We found that compliance leaders, in answering our survey, are underestimating their third party risks,” notes Stephanie, “and for tech and telecom companies specifically, this may mean that they’re at risk of human rights abuses in their supply chain or partnering with businesses who don’t share their ethical standards and thus not really fully appreciating the third party risks that exist in this area.”
