Health Care Institutions and Recent NLRB Activity: Preventative Action Is the Best Medicine

In the past year-and-a-half, the National Labor Relations Board (the "NLRB" or "board") has engaged in arguably its most controversial activity since it was created by the National Labor Relations Act (the "NLRA" or "Act") in 1935. Many of these union-friendly changes either target or have a substantial impact on health care institutions begin taking preventative action now to avoid potential problems created by recent and future NLRB activity.
