EU securities group advises ESMA on how to contain ICO and crypto risks

A group that advises the European Securities and Markets Authority has issued a report on steps the authority can take to contain the risks linked to initial coin offerings (ICOs) and cryptoassets, in addition to existing regulations.

The report by the Securities and Markets Stakeholder Group focuses mainly on risks for investors, since "there are no obvious stability risks yet" in respect of ICOs and cryptoassets.
