Establishing a Russian offshore private equity fund

Recent turmoil in the Eurozone and global financial markets has precipitated a spike in the volatility of fund flows to and from Russia. The Russian government, mindful of the need to attract new foreign investment to power economic growth in the current decade, has earmarked a number of structural reforms and initiatives to improve the investment climate, including setting up its own private equity fund to co-invest with international investors.
