In July 2014 the Internet Corporation for Assigned Names and Numbers (ICANN), the non-profit organisation managing the global domain name system, filed motions to quash with the District Court for the District ofColumbia in the context of various federal court judgments obtained against the Iranian, Syrian and North Korean governments by the victims of terrorist attacks.
