Civil servant wins final appeal over benefits to husband in victory for Hong Kong's LGBT+ community

Hong Kong's Court of Final Appeal (CFA) has ruled in favor of a senior immigration officer in his battle to have his marriage to a British citizen officially recognized.

Angus Leung took the government to court after the Secretary for the Civil Service refused to grant spousal benefits to his husband, Scott Adams. The judgment marks a major victory for the territory's LGBT+ community.
