Philip Povey

Philip joined the restructuring and insolvency  team in September 2015 after completing his training with another leading law firm in London.

He is building a broad practice, focussing on cross-border restructurings, distressed debt and formal insolvency procedures. Philip works for a range of restructuring stakeholders across the creditor / debtor spectrum, in particular financial institutions and insolvency practitioners.

He brings a relentless commitment to our clients and the work of the restructuring and insolvency team. With a solid grasp of the German language, Philip is a good junior associate to have on any matter involving Germany.   

Representative Experience

Advising an investment bank on the cross-border sale of insolvent debt positions.

Reporting to various market leading banks on security and enforcement options in multiple jurisdictions.

Working with a corporate client to consider enforcement options in the Middle East.

Advising on an MVL.
