Since joining our international arbitration and dispute resolution group in 2008, Philipp has focused his practice on national and international clients in litigious matters before arbitral tribunals and state courts.

Philipp has profound knowledge regarding the automotive and energy sector and specific knowledge in handling gas, project and supply chain disputes. Philipp's arbitration experience includes disputes under ICC, DIS, VIAC, Swiss and UNCITRAL rules as well as ad-hoc proceedings. In addition, Philipp regularly advises clients in matters relating to insurance litigation, in particular, D&O matters.

Philipp publishes on topics related to recent developments in the arbitration field and Spanish law. Philipp is member of the ICC YAF, ICDR Young & International, DIS, DIS40, YAAP and ASA Below 40. He is fluent in German, English and Spanish.

Representation of a multinational corporation in the energy sector in an arbitration (ICC) against a construction company.

Advice in relation to D&O coverage issues for a leading German engine manufacturer.

Advice and representation of a former board member of a leading German software company in relation to liability claims brought by the company.

Advice and representation of various leading international oil and gas companies in several arbitrations (ad-hoc and ICC) regarding price revision and price determination disputes under long-term gas supply agreements.

Representation of an international oil and gas company against a construction company in an arbitration (rules of the Hamburg Chamber of Commerce) relating to the procurement, engineering and construction of a refinery project in Germany.
