Patrick is an associate in the commercial, corporate and regulatory team in Hogan Lovells' London office. Patrick analyses, drafts and negotiates a broad range of general and complex commercial contracts and strategic arrangements for his clients. His experience includes: franchise, agency and distribution arrangements, consultancy, outsourcing and transitional services contracts, joint ventures, procurement arrangements, collaboration agreements, celebrity endorsements, corporate sponsorship and manufacturing, and supply agreements.

Patrick also advises on regulatory issues relating to consumer rights, marketing and promotional materials, product labelling and packaging. Patrick's particular industry focuses are in the food and beverage, hotel and retail sectors and he also acts for clients in various other sectors including automotive, luxury brands and sport.

Representative Experience

Advising on hotel and restaurant franchise agreements, including negotiating for franchisee, advising franchisor on associated booking arrangements, and advising landlords and financiers on related risks.

Virtual client secondments with SAB Miller and World Duty Free Group.

British Paralympic Association on each of its corporate sponsorships arrangements (including with Nissan, Adidas and EDF Energy) for the Rio 2016 Paralympic Games.

An international duty free retailer on its concession agreement with various major UK airports to operate branded duty free retail stores.

Advising Mars on commercial arrangements including ingredient and equipment purchasing, product manufacturing, collaborations, warehousing and logistics, and various outsourcing agreements (including research, media, and marketing).

Reorganizing the European agency and distribution arrangements of a high brand fashion label.

Ford on its vehicle supply agreements and another major car manufacturer on its selective distribution network agreements.

Mars on various co-manufacturing and distribution arrangements, including for Galaxy, Uncle Ben's and Dolmio branded products.
