For over 15 years, Olesya Barsukova-Bakar has advised and represented global emerging and mature private and public companies. Her skills span a wide array of corporate matters, no matter how complex, interdisciplinary, cross-border, highly regulated, or unique.

Olesya has handled all aspects of asset acquisitions and dispositions, mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures, strategic alliances and partnership transactions, venture capital financings, private placements, equity financings, recapitalization, and restructuring transactions. She provides the right-sized advice for her clients to succeed – be it in a high-profile multi-billion dollar transaction or an early stage venture. She focuses on coming up with a business-oriented solutions for her clients.

A key part of Olesya's practice is working with U.S. and non-U.S. sponsors and investors in private equity, venture capital, real estate, and other investments on a wide range of fund formation and governance matters and helps clients establish complex structures to serve investors. In addition, Olesya represents issuers and investors in other private capital-raising activities, including private equity and debt financing, venture capital financing (including in early-stage companies), and joint venture and strategic alliance matters.

On the regulatory side, Olesya advises clients regarding various aspects of compliance with the Investment Company Act, Investment Advisers Act, and Dodd-Frank Act.

Olesya's clients include global corporations, private investment fund sponsors, and international organizations. She also advises private and public companies operating in a variety of industries, including real estate, clean energy and technology, aviation and aerospace, and life sciences and agriculture, in all corners of the globe the U.S., Latin America, Europe, Africa, Middle East, and Asia.
