Nitya Anand utilizes her scientific training and litigation experience to advise leading chemical, pharmaceutical, and medical device companies in a wide variety of intellectual property (IP) proceedings. By leveraging her chemistry, biochemistry, and English background, Nitya helps clients translate complex patent law issues into winning arguments in both the courtroom and boardroom.

In addition to her insight into litigation and due diligence matters across a wide range of industry sectors, Nitya also has experience working with universities to maximize their IP rights and increase their profits. While in law school, she interned for a number of distinguished judges, including the Honorable Jimmie V. Reyna at the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit.

Representing a leading Japanese pharmaceutical firm in numerous Hatch-Waxman actions in relation to generic versions of its anti-ulcer product.

Representing a leading international pharmaceutical company in inter partes review proceedings before the Patent Trial and Appeal Board relating to pneumococcal conjugate vaccines.

Representing a renowned chemical company in a district court litigation and an inter partes review proceeding involving transgenic plant technology.

Representing a Japanese pharmaceutical company in Hatch-Waxman actions and an inter partes review proceeding in relation to a glaucoma medication.

Represented a leading international pharmaceutical company in Hatch-Waxman patent litigations involving an injectable antibiotic drug before several district courts.

Represented a food products company in a patent infringement suit related to phosphorylated resistant starches.
