Nicky knows finance. She understands what is needed to get a deal done – having led some of the most complex banking and finance transactions in the market over 20 years. Nicky brings to deals precise technical skills together with a commercial, deal-driven approach.

Nicky's experience is expansive. It covers corporate and real estate finance, securitisation, debt capital markets and restructuring. Clients seek out Nicky because she can advise them across the full spectrum of debt solutions, from structured and unstructured capital markets transactions to secured and unsecured bank bilateral, syndicated and club deals.

Nicky also supports clients on complex regulatory issues. She regularly advises domestic and international clients on financial services and banking regulation in Australia.

Nicky has acted for all of the major players in the market – from banks, funds and hedge counterparties to REITs, public and private companies and trustee companies. Having acted for borrowers and lenders on both sides of the ledger Nicky can guide her clients as to the 'must haves' on a transaction.

Nicky is joint managing partner of Hogan Lovells' practice in Australia. She is also head of the firm's banking and finance practice in Australia.

Outside the office, Nicky is a trustee and director of the Westpac Foundation and a director of Bangarra Dance Theatre Australia Limited (Australia's national indigenous dance company).

Nicky is admitted to practice in Australia. She completed a combined Bachelor of Laws (Honours) and Bachelor of Commerce at the University of Tasmania.

Acting for Partners Group on a cross-border US$700 million syndicated capital call facility involving 32 fund borrowers.

Acting for a syndicate of banks on the restructure and refinancing of more than GBP1 billion of debt and derivative facilities for an international business in Australia.

Acting for a Chinese bank in relation to an A$250 million bilateral facility secured over mining tenements in Western Australia.

Advising an international bank on a €250 million secured multi-currency bilateral facility in connection with an infrastructure investment by a Gibraltar borrower.

Acting for Bank of New York Mellon on the establishment of a €3 billion EMTN program for Victoria Power Networks (Finance) Pty Limited.

Acting for Goodman Australia Industrial Partnership in relation to a US$600 million private placement.
