James Ng is an international arbitration lawyer at Hogan Lovells in Hong Kong, with over three years of relevant professional experience.

Before joining Hogan Lovells, James was a Counsel at the Hong Kong International Arbitration Centre (HKIAC) in charge of handling over 300 Chinese and English arbitration matters under various HKIAC rules and the UNCITRAL Arbitration Rules, with a focus on China-related disputes. James was a senior member of the HKIAC Secretariat who helped to develop its policies and practices, such as participating in the drafting of A Guide to the HKIAC Arbitration Rules and HKIAC's rules revision process. As a result of his experience at HKIAC, James is able to advise Hogan Lovells' clients on a variety of arbitration matters based on his institutional knowledge and expertise.

In addition to advising on arbitration matters, James has acted as tribunal secretary with experience in high-stakes commercial, corporate and intellectual property disputes in excess of HK$1 billion. James has also spoken at various conferences, lectures and seminars on different aspects of international arbitration.
