Hogan Lovells partners John Basnage and Allan Wardrop have been ranked in the FT OUTstanding lists for top LGBT+ and ally executives.

The lists celebrate successful LGBT executives and allies who have been instrumental in creating supportive workplaces for other LGBT people. London corporate partner John Basnage was named among the Top 100 LGBT+ Executives, and Hong Kong banking partner Allan Wardrop has been recognised as a Top 50 Ally Executive.

Hogan Lovells has pioneered LGBT+ rights in the workplace and recently launched a global allies network, Pride+, with over 1000 allies signed up globally to date. Earlier this year, the firm was included in the Top 20 of the Stonewall Workplace Equality Index for the first time, having ranked consistently in the top 50 for several years. This followed being recognised for the eighth time by the Human Rights Campaign with a 100% Corporate Equality Index rating and named a best place to work for LGBT equality in 2016 in the U.S.; and being listed by the Asian Legal Business Diversity List 2016 as one of 10 law firms in Asia promoting a more inclusive workplace.

Commenting, John said:

"Inclusivity and an LGBT+ friendly culture are embedded in Hogan Lovells. The Pride+ network is fully supported by the firm, with our annual allies London lunch always over-subscribed. In this diverse world, we all need advocates and allies, and it's really pleasing to see this group recognised too today."

Allan added:

"For Hogan Lovells to thrive professionally, it’s essential to create a safe, inclusive, and supportive environment where our people can bring all of who they are to work. Our global LGBT and allies network, Pride+, creates a visible network of support for our LGBT+ people – no matter where they are in the world."
