National Black Lawyers names Megan Mason to its Top 40 Under 40 list
Washington, D.C., 4 December 2019 – Hogan Lovells is pleased to announce that Education associate Megan Mason has been named to The National Black Lawyers' Top 40 Under 40 list. She was selected for inclusion based on her superior qualifications, leadership skills, career performance, and commitment to promoting diversity.
Mason was nominated by leading lawyers and current members of the organization for her exceptional work in the legal community. NBL celebrates legal excellence by promoting attorneys as subject-matter experts, developing a strong national network of top African American attorneys, and facilitating the exchange of timely information to enable its members to maintain their status as leaders.
A member of Hogan Lovells’ Education practice, Mason assists a wide variety of education-related entities, including universities and colleges, school districts, education associations, and companies that invest or operate in the education sector. She regularly monitors industry developments in order to proactively advise clients on new rules, innovations, and best practices.
She is also committed to community service and pro bono opportunities centered on youth, education, and justice. Among other things, Mason coordinates the firm’s partnership with Thurgood Marshall Academy's Law Day program for ninth-grade students, serves as a reading mentor to an elementary school student through the Everybody Wins DC Power Lunch Program, and is an associate board member of City Year DC.
