DENVER, 4 November 2015 – Hogan Lovells is pleased to announce that Michael Cheroutes will once again be working with the firm’s Denver office in its Finance practice.
Cheroutes was one of the founders of Hogan Lovells’ Denver office and worked at the firm for 16 years, leaving in 2009 to lead the Colorado High Performance Transportation Enterprise (HPTE). The state government organization pursues innovative means of financing transportation infrastructure projects in Colorado. During his time at HPTE, Cheroutes led the effort to successfully complete the first revenue concession P3 project in the state.
“We are thrilled that Mike will be working again with Hogan Lovells,” said Cole Finegan, Hogan Lovells’ regional managing partner for the Americas as well as managing partner for the Denver office. “No one has played a bigger role in developing public-private partnerships in Colorado and throughout the country than Mike, and we are so pleased that he will be back with us.”
Cheroutes, who recently resigned from the HPTE to found the Colorado Center for Infrastructure Investment, will utilize his government and law firm experiences to help clients and municipalities navigate complex finance projects.
Cheroutes earned his B.A. in international relations and affairs from Harvard University and his J.D. from Stanford University Law School.
