Litigation, M&A and Finance Wins at The American Lawyer Awards

15/07/2014

The American Lawyer has named our work on the BTA Bank vs Ablyazov fraud case 'Global Dispute of the Year: UK Litigation' in their 2014 Global Legal Awards programme.

Alongside the Global Dispute win we also won 'Global Finance Deal of the Year, Project Finance, Europe' for the Intercity Express Programme; and 'Global M&A Deal of the Year, U.S.' for our work for Verizon and Vodafone.

In addition, their judges selected us to receive their second Lifetime Achievement award for Global Citizenship for the exemplary work we have done since 2007 in Liberia with the International Senior Lawyers Project.

The American Lawyer received some 270 entries from 66 major law firms around the world. This year they limited the competition to cross-border work in four major categories: disputes, finance, M&A, and citizenship.

The full list of winners was announced last week in the Am Law Daily and on www.americanlawyer.com; and in August The American Lawyer will also publish stories on their web site about each winning matter. Winners will be recognised at the Global Legal Awards dinner, to be held this year in New York on September 15. Finally, a complete list of winners will also appear in The American Lawyer’s October issue when they publish their annual Global 100.
