Hogan Lovells Germany received three of the prestigious JUVE awards. The international law firm received the awards for "Law Firm of the Year for IP", "Law Firm of the Year for Patents" and "Law Firm of the Year for Frankfurt and Hessen region". It was also nominated for "Law Firm of the Year Banking and Finance" for its developments in equity capital markets and structured finance.

For the second consecutive year, Hogan Lovells Germany recorded double-digit growth rates. It advised numerous stock-listed companies, international groups, the public domain and young companies. Hogan Lovells focuses on industry sector knowledge, particularly for regulated industries. In Germany it counts among its clients Commerzbank, Daimler, Deutsche Telekom, Volkswagen, Nord/LB, Bankhaus Lampe, Berenberg, EnBW, Statoil, Citigroup, GE Capital, the Federal Defence Ministry, Flixbus and others.

Burkhart Goebel, Regional Managing Partner Continental Europe, says:

"We are very happy about these awards. Our positioning at the interface of regulation and complex transactions and our special team spirit contribute to our clients' success."

The JUVE jury said about the firm's IP practice: "Attention, competitors! Another successful year like this and the IP-practice will have fully left behind its competitors."

Hogan Lovells' IPMT practice (intellectual property, media, and telecommunications) advises clients in the automotive, consumer, medical engineering, pharmaceutical and telecommunications industries. It is the "go-to" law firm particularly for pharmaceuticals and biotechnology originators. It also represents its clients in court and has recently obtained positive decisions before the Federal Patent Court in Germany and the German Supreme Court. Over the last three years, the practice promoted two partners and three counsels from within its own ranks and is now more broadly based.

"The capital markets practice is at its height.", said the JUVE jury about the renowned banking and finance practice.

The practice group capital markets advises numerous companies and investment banks, particularly on international transactions. It has comprehensive industry sector knowledge, particularly in automotive, energy, financial institutions, real estate, retail/consumer and insurance. In Germany it counts among its clients Bankhaus Lampe, Bank of America Merrill Lynch, Berenberg, Citi, Commerzbank, Deutsche Bank, Deutsche Telekom, Mercedes-Benz Bank, Nord/LB, Shop Apotheke, UBS, Volkswagen and others. In mid-October, Hogan Lovells further strengthened the European practice for structured products and the German capital markets practice with the hire of two partners, Jochen Seitz and Peter Maier.

The JUVE awards are the most prestigious honors in the German legal industry. They are awarded annually on the basis of particularly successful structural or strategic approaches. The JUVE research is based on more than 20,000 contacts with clients, competitors and market players.
