Hogan Lovells advises Joh. Berenberg, Gossler & Co. KG on capital increase of Medios AG

Press releases | 10 June 2020

Led by Frankfurt partner Michael Schlitt, international law firm Hogan Lovells has advised Joh. Berenberg, Gossler & Co. KG as Sole Global Coordinator and Sole Bookrunner in the placement of 1,456,401 new shares of Medios AG, one of the leading specialty pharma companies in Germany, with institutional investors by way of an accelerated book-building.

The new shares were admitted to trading on the Regulated Market of the Frankfurt Stock Exchange on June 5, 2020 with simultaneous admission to the sub-segment of the regulated market with additional admission requirements (Prime Standard).

The net issue proceeds from the capital increase will be used, among other things, to further expand Medios' leading position as a specialty pharma provider through both organic and external growth. The additional funds will enable the company to develop attractive growth potential in additional indication areas, further expand its existing partner network and significantly increase production capacities for patient-specific therapies.

Having previously implemented the capital increase of Shop-Apotheke Europe N.V. in the Corona crisis, as well as the capital increase of Drägerwerk AG & Co. KGaA on the banking side, the convertible bond issue of HelloFresh SE on the banking side and the bond buyback of Salzgitter AG, Hogan Lovells has again successfully advised the team led by Michael Schlitt on a placement during the crisis. The Joh. Berenberg, Gossler & Co. KG in-house team included Marc Christian Gei, LL.M and Dr. Martin Kniehase.
