Hogan Lovells advises client on a transaction that received a Bond Buyers National Deal of the Year Award

On December 6, 2018, firm client the City and County of Denver, Colorado won The Bond Buyer’s national Deal of the Year Award for its US$2.5 billion bond issue on behalf of Denver International Airport (DEN).

Hogan Lovells served as bond counsel on the transaction, led by Washington partner Scott Lilienthal and Denver partner Helen Atkeson, and Denver senior associate Jordan Chase. The deal represented the largest airport revenue bond transaction ever issued, with the proceeds being used for over 150 different projects at DEN, including renovation of the airport’s main Jeppesen Terminal pursuant to an innovative public-private partnership. The firm has served as bond counsel to the city for over 25 years, including through the entire construction and development of DEN.
