Hong Kong, 19 December 2019 – Global law firm Hogan Lovells is pleased to announce the firm has been awarded the best diversity initiative by an international law firm by Euromoney Legal Media Group Asia Women in Business Law Awards 2019.

The award recognizes the firm’s longstanding commitment to striving for gender balance and in our work to empower women and girls.

Hogan Lovells joined the Male Allies initiative led by The Women’s Foundation in October 2018, and since then has hosted events to bring people together to share their experiences, learn from others, with Allies committed to use their voice as advocates for women.

In addition to Male Allies, we have been leveraging the skills and expertise of our people, as well as our time, commitment and energy, across multiple offices and jurisdictions to support our global citizenship partner Barefoot College in their work to train rural illiterate women as solar engineers. In the APME region, we have provided over 800 hours to Barefoot College in fundraising and pro-bono activity and involved over 180 employees within the year, enabling Barefoot College to train over 470 ‘Solar Mamas’.
