Hogan Lovells Supports the 2014 Shanghai International Literary Festival
10 March 2014
10 March 2014, Shanghai - Hogan Lovells is proud to be supporting the Shanghai International Literary Festival for the seventh consecutive year. The award-winning festival, the largest in China with growing influence across Asia, returned this year on 5 March 2014 and will run until 21 March featuring an impressive line-up of writers, journalists, sinologists and filmmakers of international fame.
During a session on Sunday, 9 March supported by Hogan Lovells, Jancis Robinson, a world-class wine critic and writer who also serves as Her Majesty the Queen's cellar advisor, spoke to a packed room of oenophiles about recent trends in wine. She expressed her excitement over the increasing number of wine enthusiasts and the advancement of wine education in China and confessed to her palate being pleasantly surprised by a number of the labels produced from Chinese vineyards.
In addition to our support of the Shanghai International Literary Festival, Hogan Lovells Shanghai Office has supported a number of non-profit organisations and charities such as Stepping Stones (English education for disadvantaged children), Netspring (IT classroom for children in poverty), Shanghai Young Bakers (bakery training for underprivileged youth) and Chi Heng Foundation (education and support for AIDS orphans) among others.
