Hogan Lovells Staff go Over the Edge... in Charity Abseil

16 September 2011

LONDON, 16 November 2011 - Today, Friday 16 September 2011, 50 Hogan Lovells partners and staff abseiled to the ground from the eleventh floor of Hogan Lovells' iconic Atlantic House building on Holborn Viaduct.

Now in its fifth year, the annual abseiling event raised around £14,000 for Action Against Hunger | ACF International and Leukaemia & Lymphoma Research, the charities supported through the global Hogan Lovells Touch fundraising initiative, with Hogan Lovells matching the £7,000 raised by participants as part of this initiative.

Richard Tyler, Chair of Hogan Lovells’ Touch committee, said:

"We are delighted that so many members of staff participated in the abseil this year to raise money for Action Against Hunger and Leukaemia & Lymphoma Research, two enormously inspiring and deserving charities.

Our Touch campaign has proved to be a wonderful tool for bringing people together to help those less fortunate. The added bonus is that we have so much fun putting on events such as the abseil and our Legally Ballroom event, which will take place next month.”

Hogan Lovells would like to thank Vivat Bacchus for providing champagne to all participants on landing.
