Hogan Lovells' Song Zhu Listed Among California's Top IP Lawyers by the Daily Journal
17 April 2013
WASHINGTON, D.C., 17 April 2013 – Hogan Lovells is pleased to announce San Francisco partner Song Zhu has been named to this year’s Daily Journal Top Intellectual Property Lawyers list.
Zhu, a member of the Intellectual Property practice, was commended for his representation of clients in intellectual property litigation, procurement, opinion, and due diligence in the United States and worldwide. In particular, for his role in successfully representing client Ashland Inc., a manufacturer of chemical specialty and performance products, in a landmark patent infringement and trade secret lawsuit Ashland filed in China. The case resulted in new Chinese patent law, and the client’s eventual recovery was one of the largest ever by a foreign company in China. The case was named one of the “Top Ten IP Cases of 2012” by the Intellectual Property Committee of All China Lawyers Association.
The Daily Journal has been publishing the list of Top Intellectual Property Lawyers for the past six years. The list was compiled from hundreds of nominations submitted by lawyers. Finalists are determined by the impact of their work in intellectual property.
