Hogan Lovells Shortlisted in Four Categories at the British Legal Awards
08 October 2010
Hogan Lovells has been shortlisted in four categories at the Legal Week 2010 British Legal Awards.
The categories we have been shortlisted in are:
Law Firm of the Year
Litigation and Regulatory Team of the Year
Education and Training Initiative of the Year
Best Use of Technology
Our nomination in the Litigation and Regulatory Team of the Year category is for the pensions litigation team, led by Angela Dimsdale Gill, who acted for the Scheme Trustee of an industry-wide pension scheme, the Pilots' National Pension Fund (PNPF). The outcome of the litigation had a direct impact on approximately 1,700 scheme members and 53 harbour authorities in the UK (including the UK's largest ports) - a sizeable proportion of the UK's port industry. The case was described by The Lawyer as one of the "Top 10 cases" of 2010.
Both our Education and Training Initiative of the Year and Best Use of Technology nominations are for COMPETE, or "COMPetition Electronic Training Experience" - a customisable competition law compliance e-learning, testing and risk management program for businesses, developed by the ACER team.
The awards dinner will be held on Thursday 2 December in London.
