Hogan Lovells Shortlisted for Three Chambers Global Awards
03 March 2014
We have been shortlisted in three categories of the 2014 Chambers Global Awards.
The awards recognise notable achievements in the international legal market over the preceding 12 months, highlighting the pre-eminent law firms in key practice areas. They also recognise notable achievements in the form of outstanding work, entrepreneurial spirit, and expansion during the preceding year.
We were nominated in the following three categories:
Competition / Antitrust Firm of the Year
We were credited for our broad expertise in competition, encompassing international investigations, cartel claims, and regulatory and public law. On M&A matters, we were mentioned for our multi-office team who recently advised Ariba on its US$4.3 billion acquisition by SAP.
Dispute Resolution Firm of the Year
We were cited as having "a strong year in 2013", thanks to our involvement in matters such as the Libor investigations and a raft of cross-border corporate issues. Recent work highlighted included our advising BTA Bank against its former chairman Mukhtar Ablyazov.
Intellectual Property Firm of the Year
The shortlist praised us for the level of integration between our IP offices, adding that we excel in Europe (particularly in Germany, France and Italy) and have developed highly regarded practices in China, Japan and the U.S. We are mentioned for regularly handling patent cases in the hi-tech and pharma industries, as well as advising on international trademark disputes and the IP aspects of corporate mandates. Some key clients mentioned included Merck, HTC, Eli Lilly and Dell.
The awards draw upon the extensive research which goes into the Chambers Global, including contributions from all Chambers regional guides.
