Hogan Lovells senior associate Courtney Caruso selected for the Boston Bar Association's Public Interest Leadership Program
Boston, Massachusetts, 13 January 2021 – Hogan Lovells senior associate Courtney Caruso, located in the firm's Boston office, has been selected as a member of the Boston Bar Association's Public Interest Leadership Program (PILP).
PILP promotes civic engagement and public service by advancing the leadership role of lawyers in service to their community, their profession, and the Commonwealth of Massachusetts. This selective program attracts a diverse group of talented, motivated attorneys who have graduated law school within the last 10 years and demonstrated a commitment to pro bono and public service.
A member of the Hogan Lovells Litigation, Arbitration, and Employment practice group, Courtney works with clients through all phases of investigation, litigation, and trial. Her practice is focused on civil litigation, criminal defense, government enforcement actions, and investigations.
Courtney currently serves as the Deputy Monitor overseeing implementation of the United States v. City of Ferguson Consent Decree and regularly represents pro bono clients in criminal proceedings, immigration removal hearings, and in their efforts to secure clemency, compassionate release, or enforcement of their constitutional rights.
She also serves on the Massachusetts Board of Generation Citizen, Boston's City Awake Advisory Board, and the Boston Chamber of Commerce's Talent Development and Retention Leadership Council where she focuses on empowering the next generation, strengthening our democracy, and solving pressing issues facing her community.
